Welcome to Salon HRM ("the App"), developed by Jinal. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our salon human resource management application.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
📦 Information We Collect
The App collects the following types of information:
- Employee profiles — names, roles, shift assignments, contact details entered by administrators
- Attendance records — punch-in/out timestamps, overtime, and late arrivals
- Biometric data — facial embeddings (numerical vectors) captured solely for attendance verification
- Payroll data — salary, leave balances, deductions, and payroll history
- Orders & customer data — service orders, customer names, and transaction records
- Device permissions — camera, photo library, and local storage (as described below)
🔒 How We Use Your Information
- Verifying employee identity for attendance using facial recognition
- Calculating payroll, overtime, and leave balances
- Generating reports for salon management (PDF / Excel exports)
- Managing service orders and customer records
- Backing up and restoring salon data locally on your device
📱 Device Permissions
- Camera — Required to capture employee photos for face-based attendance
- Photo Library — Used to import employee profile photos and save exported reports
- Face ID (iOS) — Used to securely access encrypted backup data
- Local Storage — Required to store the SQLite database and generated reports on-device
🏠 Data Storage & Security
Sensitive data such as backup files are protected with AES-256 encryption. Encryption keys are stored in the device's secure enclave (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
🤝 Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties. No analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or external services have access to your data.
Data exports (PDF/Excel reports) are generated on-device and shared only when you explicitly initiate a share action within the App.
🧒 Children's Privacy
Salon HRM is a business management tool intended for use by salon staff and administrators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
🔄 Your Rights
As a user or administrator of the App, you have the right to:
- Access all data stored by the App at any time via the in-app database
- Delete employee records, attendance data, and biometric embeddings from within the App
- Export a full backup and delete the App to remove all data from your device

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or applicable law. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
